ProjectsSojourn

A Christian gap year in High Rock, Grand Bahama

Your year to go all in.

Learn a real trade. Wrestle with real faith. Change a real community, on an island that will wreck you in the best way. This is the year you stop watching and start living.

Comfortable doesn't change anyone. So we're not offering comfortable. We're offering the edge, where faith gets real and so do you.

Two thousand years ago the invitation was four words: “Come, and you'll see.” It still stands. The only question is whether you'll answer it.

Three things that outlast the year.

Every Sojourn campus runs the same DNA: skills in your hands, fire in your faith, and a community left stronger than you found it.

Skills

Learn a trade

Hands-on, in-demand training: building, marine work, hospitality, digital craft and enterprise. You leave with skills that pay, not just a certificate that sits in a drawer.

Faith

Go all in on faith

No spectator Christianity. Daily discipleship, real mentorship, hard questions, and the kind of community that sharpens you. Find out what you actually believe, and why.

Impact

Change a community

Your skills go straight to work where they're needed. Build alongside locals, lead real projects, and watch a place, and yourself, get transformed.

Where there's no challenge, there's no change.

An island that wrecks you.

Reef dives and blue holes. Boat builds and storm cleanups. Sunrise devotionals on empty beaches. Sojourn isn't a classroom with a view. It's a year lived outside, at the edge of your comfort zone, where character actually gets forged.

Four phases. One transformation.

From the day you land to the day you're sent, every phase pushes you further than the last.

  1. Phase 1

    Arrive

Land on the island, meet your crew, drop the mask. Orientation, brotherhood and sisterhood, and learning the place you'll call home.

  2. Phase 2

    Learn

Trade training by day, discipleship by night. Build the foundation, in your hands and in your soul.

  3. Phase 3

    Serve

Put it to work. Real projects, real community, real impact. This is where the year stops being about you.

  4. Phase 4

    Be sent

Graduate with a trade, a tested faith and a global family. Walk out equipped to go wherever you're called.

The first Sojourn: Grand Bahama, The Bahamas

It starts in High Rock.

Our flagship rises from a forgotten island school, restored into a living campus where students from across the world train shoulder to shoulder with locals. Pristine water, deep need, and a community ready to be rebuilt. The first of many.

Built with Grand Bahama.

We're inviting the Government of The Bahamas to help turn a dormant school into an engine for local opportunity, at zero ongoing public cost.

Through the gift, lease or shared purchase of an underused school facility, Grand Bahama gains a permanent hub for workforce training and renewal, funded entirely by tuition, philanthropy and enterprise. Renewal for a community; opportunity for its people.

“A dormant building becomes a beacon, for the island and a model for the world.”

Zero public burdenSelf-funded, with no ongoing cost to taxpayers.

One island now. The world next.

Grand Bahama is campus one. Sojourn is built to plant in communities worldwide that need skills and support, in places that ignite the students who come to serve.
